Hospital visits

I have been visiting the children's hospital every Monday with the Mercy Fund ladies from Concordia. These are children with cancer, mostly ALL and AML. Our Michaela had ALL. We bring a craft to do each week as well as fruit and birthday gifts if it is near their birthday. It gives the kids something to look forward to each week. They treat ALL with similar medications from what I can tell, but for the beginning of the treatment they keep them in the hospital for 4 months! That is a very long time for anyone.

We were able to have an "American Easter" here in Shanghai. The kid's colored eggs had an Easter egg hunt and we went to church. Although for some reason no one here dresses up for church even at Easter.

Family photos around the resort. It was a "Chinese resort" which means no ties to American hotel chain so we weren't sure what it would be like. It is a five star, but again a Chinese five star. We were thrilled with it and will happily stay at only Chinese hotels.

Trip to Hainan Island city of Sanya. Yalong Bay resort called Horizon Resort.

On Wednesday night, we travelled by airplane to Hainan Island the southern most point in China. We stayed in Yalong Bay, an area of a city called Sanya. Here are some photos.
